Hey guys!
Konnichiwa (hello) from Japan - I just wanted to say I'm here! I made it to Tokyo, grabbed a "limousine" bus to my ryokan (traditional Japanese inn - this is mine:
Kimi Ryokan), and am going to go see the sights!

I am already struck by the friendliness of the people - when I was wandering from the bus to my ryokan, I must have made a wrong turn. I realized it almost immediately, and turned back around to follow my little map. A nice little Japanese man saw me spinning in circles, marched up to me, and asked me in pretty amazing English if I needed help. I asked him if I was on the right street going the right way, and he said yes, but that he insisted on walking me to the ryokan anyway :) He lead me the 8 remaining blocks to the ryokan and told me next time to stay more than just 2 weeks so I can see more of Japan.

I will take tons of pictures and post more later, but for now, I'm off to wash off the jet lag (Tokyo is 16 hours ahead of San Diego....its a whole different day here!).
Sayonara!
Kristyn
PS - This is a picture of all the fancy options I had in the toilet at the bus stop!! It was way too confusing for 5:30am, but I thought you guys might enjoy a picture :)
